Sue Lyster EXECUTIVE IN CHARGE ILM LONDON As Executive in Charge, Industrial Light & Magic London, Sue Lyster is responsible for the day-to-day management of the studio and oversees all aspects of production. As a founding member of the studio’s leadership team, Sue has played a key role in managing its growth and has overseen its expansion from a headcount of 4 employees to over 500 today. |
Luke English MEDIA SOLICITOR laceys solicitors Luke has been in the media industry for over 20 years and has worked for some of the biggest entertainment companies in the world including the BBC, Walt Disney and Sony. Luke advises individuals and companies on their legal contracts from Director/Producer Agreements to Production Agreements. |
Jessica Ashworth SCREENWRITER Jessica is part of the sister screenwriting duo behind the 2019 feature film 'Tell It to the Bees' starring Anna Parquin and Holliday Grainger. She was also part of the writing team for BBC's 'Killing Eve' Series 2. Other writing credits include 'Fresh Meat', 'Dixi' and 'Fan Girl'. |
Keith English DIRECTOR VELVET PICTURES Keith was nominated by BAFTA for the TV series 'Bus Life' and recently directed the feature film 'The More You Ignore Me' which received four star reviews from The Guardian and The Mail. In 2000 Keith set up the production company, Velvet Pictures, with Claire Cottrell. |
Michael Pearce WRITER/DIRECTOR Michael studied at Bournemouth Film School at AUB in the 2000's, specialising in Directing on the BA Film Production course. In February 2019 Michael won the BAFTA for 'Outstanding Debut for a British Writer/Director/Producer' for his debut feature film 'Beast' starring Jessie Buckley. The film was also nominated for 'Best British Film'. |
Berwyn Rowlands FESTIVAL DIRECTOR Berwyn is the creator and festival director for the Iris Prize, an organisation and film festival dedicated to showcasing the best of LGBTQ+ film from around the World. With the largest film competition prize for LGBT+ shorts, Iris is a staple in highlighting the best of queer cinema and talent. |
Faryal Velmi SCREENWRITER Faryal was part of the writers’ room that produced season two and the forthcoming season three of Ackley Bridge (The Forge/Channel 4). She was also recently commissioned by the BBC to write a 90-minute original drama, Take Me Home, which is centred on the housing crisis in London. She is developing a returning television series with Kudos, and a feature film project set in Brixton, with Fable Pictures. |
Julia Parfitt EXECUTIVE PRODUCER NEXUS STUDIOS Julia is an Experienced Executive Producer at Nexus studios - the multi award-winning film, animation and interactive studio based in London and LA. Julia has had a well decorated career so far, including Grammy Nominated & MTV video awards for Franz Ferdinand, Yellow & Black D&AD pencils, British Arrows & Cannes Lions & Clio for Honda Grr (including most awarded ad of the decade), TED Top 10s ads worth sharing. |
Jane Saunders MENTORING NETWORK MANAGER ScreenSkills Jane Saunders works for ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK's screen industries. She manages the ScreenSkills Mentoring Network which aims to match mentoring pairs to enable new and established professionals to support each other as they progress in their careers. Jane has previously managed the BBC Executive Coaching Network and ran a variety of mentoring schemes. |
