Screenwriting is offered as a pathway within the BA (Hons) Creative Writing degree, allowing writers to create characters and narrative for the script medium for short or feature films. Collaboration with filmmakers is encouraged and the opportunity for pitching screenplays for Film Production graduation films is available at the end of the courses second year.

Students work on programme for 2019

Creative Writing students contributed written assets for the 2019 From Page to Screen film festival programme. This years festival was curated by former Head of Film at BBC Films' Christine Langan.
In 2018 students also contributed to the publication that was distributed for the festival event, that year curated by film director Garth Jennings. The festival line-up welcomed acclaimed Novelist Ian McEwan and author of the autobiographical 'Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool', Peter Turner. |
